It's Been Awhile

So it’s been awhile since I’ve posted on Tumblr, but don’t worry I have not forgotten about you, yet… =p

Anyhow, I’ve been job searching vigorously lately and I found something that made me giggle. A nice break from my dreadful and never ending search. This is a review I found on JobVent about working at a particular company, but lets not blurt out who they are. (Just to be nice)

List below are some of the things that were written by the reviewer that I giggled at:

“Career/Potential Growth: None, ever, forget about it. If you aren’t Chinese and are not a guy don’t feel bad Chinese and guys don’t get promoted either.

Location: … it’s a wasteland. The place is well nasty comes to mind. Clean ya but the parking, you walk no joke about 500 yards in the open, dodging traffic and trucks. worst facility in the worst location I’ve ever seen.

Co-worker competence: If you are really good you down play it because people will basically sabotage you. You have to play dumb and happy. Now some people really are dumb and happy, because the smart ones leave. “

Sadly, I know someone that works there and have heard minor complains about it. I didn’t realize it was that horrible though. The friend of mine happens to be a chinese guy too, never heard about him getting promoted that’s for sure. I also don’t think I would even make it to work on my first day if I was there because I don’t think I can make it across 500 yards of dodging traffic and trucks. It reminded me of the frog game I once played. The poor little frog had to cross the streets and avoid getting smashed by busy traffic. I sucked at that game.
